The catalogue is intentionally short. We stock what we can describe from the item in front of us, which rules out anything we have not handled ourselves.
Three questions decide what stays listed: is it made properly, can we describe it honestly, and would we keep it. A no to the last one ends it, however good the photograph.
We include what is inconvenient as well as what is flattering: which size runs small, which colour reads differently on screen, which material needs careful handling. A listing that only lists strengths is an advertisement. If a material marks easily, we say that too — a listing that only lists strengths is an advertisement rather than a description.
We are a Hong Kong registered company selling online, with orders packed and dispatched by us. Registered details and the support address sit in the footer of every page.
Stock is bought in small runs and checked before it is listed: materials noted from the label and from handling, and a note made of anything a buyer would want to know but a supplier would leave out. Each piece is looked over here, against what the listing says, before it goes out. That is slower, and it is the reason the catalogue stays short.
There are no limited-time banners here, no crossed-out prices that were never charged, and no staged photographs of a product we have not received. We do not run countdown timers or invented discounts, and we do not publish reviews we have written ourselves.
Our company name, registered address and contact email appear in the footer on every page of the site, so you never have to hunt for who you are buying from. Requests for details in writing are answered the same business day.
Every order confirmation comes from our own domain and quotes an order number you can reply to. We will never email asking for card details, a password or a payment by bank transfer, and we will never ask you to install anything.
We buy small runs from makers we have dealt with before, and we do not fill gaps with whatever a distributor happens to hold. That means sizes and colours sell through rather than being restocked forever, and it means we can describe an item because we chose it rather than because it was offered to us.
The catalogue turns over because the shelf does. New pieces appear when a run arrives and leave when it sells through, and the counts stated on this site are kept in step with the live catalogue rather than left at last season's figure.
